Getting a tattoo is a life commitment. I mean, unless you plan on spending thousands down the road to have that sucker zapped off, this is a permanent inked picture (or whatever it is you might be getting) that’s gonna be on your skin forevs. Forever. That’s a long time. So decide carefully!
But for Scarlett Johansson, the 27 year-old actress seemed to have the “how long are we gonna be dead?” approach, deciding to get a “Lucky You” horseshoe tattoo (the symbol has been known to “ward off the evil eye”) done by French tattoo artist Fuzi Uvtpk. And I mean, why the hell not? The star is pretty lucky, when you think about it. I mean, starring in numerous Woody Allen films, singin’, starring in Broadway plays like Cat on a Hot Tin Roof; she was in Ghost World for Christ’s sake. So I think it’s very funnily appropriate for her overall character and style.
Johannson said regarding her tattoo that she is, “living and vacationing [in Paris] all at once. Then I go back to New York to start preparation for a play in the fall. But I’m convinced it will be the death of me. So I’m going to spend a couple of months mourning the loss of my existence.”
Even if she got a barbed wire tattoo on her arm, people would still be like, “aw, Scarlett,” because she is a pretty amazing person and actress. I had no idea Johansson was even tatted up prior this new one, and it makes me love her even more.
