US Coast Guard gives lost Russell Crowe a lift along the Long Island Sound

What better way to spend the holiday weekend than kayaking along the Long Island Sound? Apparently for Russell Crowe, who’s staying in the area (Oyster Bay to be specific) filming an upcoming feature Noah (2014, Darren Aronofsky), he thinks so, too. Except for that he got sorda lost at nightfall Sunday evening. Thankfully the actor’s cries for help were loud enough for the Coast Guard to hear, and they were able to give Crowe and his pal a lift. Crowe tweeteda shout-out to the guys for the ride, “Kayak;Cold Spring/Huntington Harbour, thanks to Seth and the boys from the US Coast Guard for guiding the way…4 hrs 30 mins, 7m(11.2km).” Not too sure why Crowe didn’t bust out his Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World skills to get them back ashore, but I’m letting it slide since it is a holiday, after all.
