How can you not love Tim Heidecker? Just last week I was laughing my ass off at the Bedtime Stories Halloween Special that’s now turned into its very own series on Adult Swim, and the next thing you know this amazing soulful yet funny album collaboration with Davin Wood comes out and it’s just like: how does he do it?
When “Getaway Man” was released on Jash at the beginning of October the song was in my head for at least a week (the exact lyrics in the picture above, over and over again), so there’s no doubt in my mind the whole album that’s been described as being in the “vein of Harry Nilsson, Randy Newman, and Warren Zevon” will be equally as enjoyable.
Some Things Never Stay The Same is available on iTunes, Amazon, and oh, would ya look at that! You can even own some Heidecker and Wood on vinyl via the Little Record Company (and I’m assuming record stores nationwide).
