The Governors Ball has quietly turned itself into a NYC food festival and I’m here for it

Don’t get me wrong, I love me a music festival. But as I get older it becomes less about the drinking, crowdsurfing, and raging, and more about the endless amount of grubbing opportunities. Which is why if you are a food connoisseur in the city, you need to experience Gov Ball NYC. I mean, basically half of the entire space is devoted to just eating and drinking delicious craft brews and cocktails made by the city’s favorite local names anyways, so you might as well indulge in the opportunity.

Over the years it has definitely evolved much attributed to the ever-growing social food scene, and now if you enjoy any sort of Instagrammable / Tik-Tok-able snack from burrito sushi rolls to corndogs all the way to authentic Thai street food, you will be able to satisfy every craving all in one day guaranteed at Gov Ball. Just remember to come with a few friends, because you don’t want to get too full too soon and there’s no way you can do it all alone (but if you plan to, I commend you!).

This year the well-known 3-day concert will relocate its home to Flushing Meadows Corona Park, as opposed to its former HQ on Randall’s Island. And if you are in any way familiar with NYC’s public transportation, this might make it way more accessible to people in other boroughs to come out VS having to either cross the Robert F. Kennedy bridge onto the island by foot, or take one of the busses at 125th St. By moving to Queens, it’s as easy as hopping on the 7 train to 111th Street. Getting off here one can find themselves only a few blocks away from Flushing Meadows.

I could not find an official food vendor list for 2023 and if I do I will be sure to update this post, so here is a peak at the deliciousness you might expect to see this year:
