Second annual Grand Park DTLA Bookfest kicks off today

Ahh yes, books in the park! It seems as though sunny LA is fastly evolving in taking a more serious say, New York-approach to their city’s parks with events like the second annual Grand Park Downtown Bookfest, kicking off at noon today and lasting until 5PM. The project is among the biggest of the year and will offer a ton of free activities to the public such as getting a chance at winning prizes spinning LA County Public Library’s Wheel of Reading, contributing your own line to 826LA’s World’s Longest Story, enjoying live music throughout the day featuring a jazz trio among many readings from authors throughout the day.

Roll on through, LA!
