Remastered Star Trek: The Next Generation will stream select episodes digitally in HD via Fathom Events on July 23 at select theaters

“These are the voyages of the Starship Enterprise. Its continuing mission: to explore strange new worlds; to seek out new life and new civilizations; to boldly go where no one has gone before.” Captain Jean-Luc Picard

This month celebrates the 25th year anniversary of Star Trek: The Next Generation, and fans all over the world are rejoicing because for the first time ever they will be able to experience Star Trek like never before at a very special event put on by Fathom Events: screening select episodes (Episode 106: “Where No One Has Gone Before,” and Episode 114: “Datalore”) through the National CineMedia’s Digital Broadcast Network to over 500 theaters nationwide.

Vice President of Fathom Events said, “[t]he advancements in technology are really an advantage for fans. Fans will be able to experience 2K digital projection, which has a much greater resolution than film.”

The 25th anniversary screening “will include exclusive looks at the massive restoration of season one, never-before-seen interviews with the original cast members and behind-the-scenes looks at the artists who created the original FX elements and photography during the making of the show,” plus an additional sneak-peek at “Measure of a Man.”

To see if your city is participating in the HD screening, check Fathom Events’ full list. The show starts at 7PM local time on July 23 with additional screenings available at select theaters.
