It’s bloody magic: new cover unveiled for Irvine Welsh’s latest novel A Decent Ride

“The ‘Juice’ is loose. Fasten your seatbelts…”

You probably know him mostly from the adapted hit movie Trainspotting or his recent book-to-movie release Filth, and now your favorite Scottish author Irvine Welsh is coming out with a new novel A Decent Ride. Based on this CMYK Vintage Design post, the hilariousness and yet total badassery photographed by Sam Barker gives us a peek at Howard Stern–kidding–at Welsh’s protagonist JUICE: “a central character who is shameless but also, oddly, decent.” And in what’s being called Welsh’s dirtiest yet, I cannot even imagine the over-the-topness that will come about in this one. Juice first appeared in Glue back in 2001 where he was pretty funny and raunchy—a recurring theme that just seems to work so well with Welsh’s novels since his debut.

A Decent Ride will be on bookshelves April 16th of this year and is also available for pre-order.

Cannot. Wait.
