You know that moment you’re about to fall in love? Like it hasn’t happened quite yet, but in your heart you know deep down inside the feeling is pretty much set in stone? That’s how I felt about Northern Territory the first time I went to Greenpoint’s best-kept rooftop spot on a date last summer. I had no idea what I was about to experience walking through the industrial-style neighborhood, but soon I would be drinking merrily enjoying one of the best Manhattan’s skyline sunsets I have ever seen:
Somehow through the wonders of the Internet, Northern Territory and I ran into each other once again via Instagram, and before you knew it I was back rooftop-bound for a dreamy late morning/early afternoon brunch session with some of my favorite NYC foodies where we had ourselves a time.
Northern Territory’s creative way of spicing up the vodka gimlet, slushy style:
Toasted avocado on ciabatta with olive oil, scallions, and feta:
Big Breaky getting the job done with a plentiful serving of 2 eggs, hashbrowns, baked beans, grilled tomato, and a choice of bacon, sausage, or mushrooms:
Aussie Beef Burger with house-made beef, lettuce, tomato, onion, and beet root:
For a late-night treat on the bar menu, definitely try the Meat Pie:
